T: There are a lot of professions. The profession of ecologist is very important nowadays. Now I recommend you to be ecologists during our lesson and I invite you to Ecology Forum (meeting). In our forum we will read the text, speak about ecological problems, animals, flowers and answer the question: “Why is the Earth in danger?”

T: Our geography teacher gave me a book. The Red Book of our republic. I have found some information about animals which are in danger. Let’s read about some of them. I only want you to know about them (чтение дополнительного материала)
Do you know that…?
Marmots (сурок - байбак) are brown animals. They are not big, not small. They have brown short fur. They sleep in winter. People kill them for their fur. The other problem is pollution. The water is not clean.
Ground squirrels (суслик - йомран) are nice animals. They are brown but they have white spots. They live on mountain areas. They sleep in winter. They are in danger because people use a lot of chemicals. Children destroy their homes and kill their babies.
In our republic Tatarstan squirrels are in danger, too. They are small animals. Squirrels have long dark tails, long orange ears. They live in the forest. People hunt them for their fur. There are some ecological problems, too. People cut forests, water is not clean.
